From the ancient temple city of Madurai to the misty hills of Kodaikanal, the sacred shores of Rameshwaram, the sunrise point of Kanyakumari, and the royal heritage of Trivandrum, this itinerary blends history, devotion, architecture, and nature into one unforgettable experience.



Day 1: Arrival in Madurai


Madurai, one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in India, is often called the “Athens of the East.” With a history dating back over 2,500 years, the city flourished under the Pandya dynasty and remains a major cultural and spiritual hub of Tamil Nadu.

Upon arrival in Madurai, our representative will receive you and assist with your transfer to the hotel. After check-in and some relaxation, begin your exploration with the magnificent Meenakshi Amman Temple, an architectural masterpiece dedicated to Goddess Meenakshi and Lord Sundareswarar. Later, visit Thirumalai Nayak Palace to witness its grand Indo-Saracenic architecture and enjoy the evening light and sound show. You may also stop at Teppakulam before returning to your hotel for an overnight stay.


Day 2: Madurai – Kodaikanal


Kodaikanal, known as the “Princess of Hill Stations,” was developed during the British era as a summer retreat. Nestled in the Western Ghats, it is famous for its cool climate, lush valleys, and serene lakes.

After breakfast, proceed by road to Kodaikanal. Upon arrival and check-in, step out to explore Bryant Park, a beautifully maintained botanical garden featuring a wide variety of plants and ornamental shrubs. Spend the evening at leisure before returning to your hotel.


Day 3: Exploring Kodaikanal


This day is dedicated to discovering the scenic highlights of Kodaikanal. Visit popular attractions including Green Valley View for panoramic valley views, Coaker's Walk for a peaceful hillside stroll, and Pillar Rocks, known for their towering rock formations. You will also explore Shenbaganur Museum and Chettiar Park, along with some of the charming waterfalls in the region. Overnight stay in Kodaikanal.


Day 4: Kodaikanal – Madurai


After breakfast, drive back to Madurai. En route or upon arrival, visit Alagar Kovil, a historic temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu set amidst scenic hills. Later, explore the Gandhi Memorial Museum, which preserves significant relics and documents from India’s freedom movement. Return to your hotel in Madurai for an overnight stay.


Day 5: Madurai – Rameshwaram


Rameshwaram is one of the holiest pilgrimage sites in India and forms part of the Char Dham. Closely associated with the epic Ramayana, it is believed to be the place where Lord Rama worshipped Lord Shiva before crossing over to Lanka.

After breakfast, travel to Rameshwaram. Upon arrival and check-in, begin sightseeing with a visit to Ramanathaswamy Temple, renowned for its magnificent corridors and sacred wells. Continue to Agnitheertham, a sacred bathing ghat by the sea. Later, visit Dhanushkodi, the ghost town with stunning ocean views, and see the remains of Adam's Bridge. Overnight stay in Rameshwaram.


Day 6: Rameshwaram – Kanyakumari


Kanyakumari, located at the southernmost tip of mainland India, is where the Arabian Sea, Bay of Bengal, and Indian Ocean meet. It holds immense spiritual and geographical significance and is famous for its breathtaking sunrises and sunsets.

After breakfast, proceed to Kanyakumari. Visit the sacred Kumari Amman Temple and the scenic Vivekananda Rock Memorial, built in honor of Swami Vivekananda. Explore Triveni Sangam, where the three seas converge, and stop by the Gandhi Memorial. In the evening, enjoy a spectacular sunset at Kanyakumari Beach before retiring to your hotel.


Day 7: Kanyakumari – Trivandrum – Departure


Trivandrum (Thiruvananthapuram), the capital of Kerala, is known for its royal heritage, classical architecture, and deep spiritual roots. The city was once ruled by the Travancore kings and remains culturally significant.

After breakfast, drive to Trivandrum, visiting Padmanabhapuram Palace en route, an exquisite wooden palace showcasing traditional Kerala architecture. In Trivandrum, visit the iconic Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple and view the Government Secretariat building. Later, you will be transferred to the airport or railway station for your onward journey, marking the end of a memorable South Indian experience.
