MADURAI


One of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in India, Madurai is often referred to as the “Athens of the East.” With a history spanning over 2,500 years, it was once the seat of the powerful Pandya dynasty and remains a thriving centre of Tamil culture, literature and devotion. The city is best known for the magnificent Meenakshi Amman Temple, an architectural masterpiece that draws pilgrims and travellers from across the world. Madurai is not just a destination — it is a living heritage city where spirituality, tradition and daily life beautifully intertwine.



KODAIKANAL


Fondly called the “Princess of Hill Stations,” Kodaikanal was developed as a retreat during the British era and continues to charm visitors with its cool climate, pine forests, waterfalls and sweeping valley views. Located in the Palani Hills, this serene escape offers a refreshing contrast to the plains of Tamil Nadu. With its scenic lake, misty walking trails and dramatic viewpoints, Kodaikanal is the perfect place to unwind and reconnect with nature.



Day 1: Arrival in Madurai

Upon arrival in Madurai, you will be warmly received and assisted with your transfer to the hotel. After check-in and a short rest, begin your exploration of this historic city.

Visit the iconic Meenakshi Amman Temple, known for its towering gopurams and intricate sculptures. Continue to Thiruparankundram Murugan Temple, one of the six sacred abodes of Lord Murugan, and the lush surroundings of Pazhamudhir Solai. Later, explore the serene Vandiyur Mariamman Teppakulam. In the evening, witness the captivating light and sound show at Thirumalai Nayak Palace, bringing Madurai’s royal past to life. Overnight stay in Madurai.



Day 2: Madurai to Kodaikanal

After breakfast, check out and proceed to Kodaikanal, enjoying a scenic drive through winding hill roads. On arrival, check in to your hotel and relax amidst the refreshing mountain air.

Later, visit Bryant Park, a beautifully maintained botanical garden near Kodaikanal Lake. Spend your evening enjoying leisure activities such as boating on the lake, cycling along the pathways, or simply soaking in the peaceful surroundings. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Kodaikanal.



Day 3: Exploring Kodaikanal

After breakfast, set out to discover the highlights of this charming hill station.

Begin with Coaker’s Walk, a scenic paved pathway offering breathtaking panoramic views of the valleys below. Continue to the majestic Pillar Rocks, the tranquil Chettiar Park, and Green Valley View Point, known for its sweeping vistas. Depending on the season, you may also visit some of Kodaikanal’s beautiful waterfalls cascading through dense greenery. The day is a delightful blend of natural beauty and serene landscapes. Overnight stay in Kodaikanal.



Day 4: Departure

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and proceed back to Madurai. You will be dropped at the airport or railway station for your onward journey, carrying with you memories of spiritual grandeur and hill-station tranquillity.
